I was sent to get a cover for Southern Living and I ran into this group of horse riders. I asked them to gallop across the scenic hill a few times while the sun was setting. Nothing was working out until the setting sun provided the ideal picture of what I like most: humans and animals silhouetted against an approaching evening. My pictures are one-time shots, not composed or posed. It is what I love most about photographing natural light. I see light, not just objects.
