Lake Lure was the setting for several movies including Dirty Dancing and The Last of the Mohicans. I always found that the lake itself and its surroundings were peaceful and intriguing as well as lots of fun for people of all ages. Taken from the back of a motorboat, the picture is a mixture of speed versus quietude.
